On 22 Feb 2023, BLCWC-ers uncovered the world of English-mons and competed in epic English Speaking Battles!
 

We started our English Speaking Day with an English drama - Gotta Catch Them All, in which our brilliant actors and actresses dressed up as crocodile, platypus, boar, kangaroo, koala and shark, introducing English Gotcha - an innovative idea our English Department created to immerse students in English speaking fun.
 

In the game English Gotcha, our staff members were turned into English-mons while our students all became English-mon Catchers. Our students caught and interacted with different English speaking people. To maximize the fun of the game, we designed twenty cute English-mons, some of which were ultra rare or even hidden animals, so our students got to know their appearance only when they earned the stamp by having conversation or playing with them in English.
 

Apart from English teachers, our other staff members joined us too, so some stamps could only be collected by talking with, for example, our Principal, Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, Maths teachers, Chinese History teachers, Chemistry teachers, staff members from the General Office, technicians and even janitors!
 

With so much fun and the keen participation of all our staff members, it is no wonder that we recorded thousands times of participation. Students even managed to capture all the English-mons in the Thesaurus by finding and talking with all of them, completing the ultimate mission - Gotta Catch Them All.
